Citation: At approximately 1045 hours while performing procedure code 06D01, CSI observed the following noncompliance's. Trash and debris (Broken chair)( broken plates)large empty plastic chlorine container being allowed to accumulate throughout the shipping and Receiving Dock Area, CSI immediately notified the plant supervisor Mr. [redacted] verbally and in writing in of these non-compliances failure to meet regulatory requirements. 9CFR (461.1) and (416.2)a I observed the establishment Plant supervisor Mr. [redacted] immediately provided the following preventive measure and corrective action by removing debris and trash in front the shipping and Receiving Dock Area. That your failure to comply with regulatory requirements could result in additional regulatory or administrative action as described in 9 CFR 500.4.


416.1 Each official establishment must be operated and maintained in a manner sufficient to prevent the creation of insanitary conditions and to ensure that product is not adulterated.

416.2(a) Grounds and pest control. The grounds about an establishment must be maintained to prevent conditions that could lead to insanitary conditions, adulteration of product, or interfere with inspection by FSIS program employees. Establishments must have in place a pest management program to prevent the harborage and breeding of pests on the grounds and within establishment facilities. Pest control substances used must be safe and effective under the conditions of use and not be applied or stored in a manner that will result in the adulteration of product or the creation of insanitary conditions.
